My Story 💜

My love for baking began at just 9 years old, when I discovered the joy of creating sweet treats and making people smile through dessert. What started as a simple childhood passion eventually grew into something much bigger.

At 27 years old, I decided to sharpen my skills and enrolled in a cake decorating course at Michael’s Arts & Crafts in Knightdale, North Carolina. I originally saw it as a way to build on a hobby I already loved—but that decision became the beginning of something special.

​

As I practiced and created more cakes, I realized I had a true talent for cake design and decorating. Before long, I began selling homemade cakes and cupcakes, and something amazing happened—customers kept coming back. Repeat orders became the norm, word began to spread, and I proudly became known as “the cake lady.”

​

What has always meant the most to me is hearing customers rave about the moistness of my cakes, the smoothness of my buttercream, and the love they can taste in every bite. Those moments confirmed that this was more than baking—it was my purpose.

​

Over the years, I’ve continued growing my craft, expanding from cupcakes and celebration cakes into custom cake artistry, tiered cakes, wedding cakes, dessert experiences, and beautifully designed sweet creations for life’s most special moments.

​

One of my favorite reactions is when a customer sees their cake and says, “Wait… that’s a real cake?!” And I get to smile and say, “Yes—and almost everything is edible!”

​

Creating desserts that bring joy, excitement, and unforgettable memories to families and celebrations is what fuels me every day.

​

Diva Kakes & More was built from passion, creativity, faith, and the belief that you never truly know what you’re capable of until you try.

My customers have been an incredible part of this journey, and I’m so grateful for every order, every referral, and every celebration I’ve been trusted to be part of.
